SUE Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Supervisor to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As an SUE Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of SUE professionals in the identification and mitigation of utility conflicts associated with new infrastructure design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead weekly SUE group operations calls to ensure effective communication and coordination among team members.
• Develop and monitor project scope, budget, schedule, and quality control for SUE projects from proposal stage to final deliverables.
• Plan and coordinate SUE crew schedules and resources to meet project deadlines.
• Field supervise SUE crews to ensure adherence to SUE Manual, SOPs, accuracy, and standards.
• Coordinate with local municipalities to obtain necessary certifications and permits for SUE work.
• Provide oversight and monitoring of SUE activities to ensure performance goals are met.
• Recruit, hire, manage, mentor, and retain staff to build and maintain a local self-sustainable SUE operation.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
• Responsible for safety coordination of SUE efforts.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in SUE and 3+ years of supervising SUE crews.
• Ability to designate all utilities using surface geophysical equipment.
• Extensive experience operating and maintaining a vacuum excavation truck.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and travel.
• Must be able to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to handle tight deadlines.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and instructions.
