Swim Instructor Job Summary

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina is seeking a motivated and experienced Swim Instructor to lead and motivate students in swimming classes. As a Swim Instructor, you will provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes, promoting a safe and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality instruction and guidance to students of all ages and skill levels.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.

Requirements:
• Minimum age of 16.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification.
• YMCA Swim Instructor Certification, American Red Cross WSI or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
• Must demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
