Job Summary

The Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Peer Mentoring Program Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, exempt position that will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our peer mentoring program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and training a team of student peer mentors, developing and implementing program curriculum, and collaborating with campus stakeholders to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive peer mentoring program that supports the academic and career success of MSU Denver students.
    • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to promote student success and retention.
  • Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and train a team of student peer mentors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to support their peers.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of student peer mentors.
  • Program Evaluation and Assessment
    • Develop and implement evaluation and assessment strategies to measure the effectiveness of the peer mentoring program.
    • Collect and analyze data to inform program development and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in program development and implementation, supervision, and training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Knowledge of student development theory and practice.
  • Experience with program evaluation and assessment.
