Job Title: Lead Embedded Applications Engineer

Efficient Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Lead Embedded Applications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our embedded team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day responsibilities of our embedded team, guiding application development for our energy-efficient programmable processor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the embedded engineering team, including planning sprints, creating and tracking tasks, and assisting in debugging.
  • Develop embedded applications using customer requirements, specifications, and existing code.
  • Develop a board support package (BSP) for our processor and maintain standard libraries.
  • Build out our software ecosystem, including optimized libraries for embedded TinyML, standard DSP kernels, and other common operations.
  • Assist in bring-up and characterization of new processors by writing chip documentation, optimizing code, and profiling power consumption.
  • Work closely with the compiler team to test and refine the compiler feature set.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in embedded engineering or similar experience with a PhD.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one embedded platform, such as MSP430, STM32, Ambiq Apollo, PIC32, or similar.
  • Experience developing and deploying sophisticated applications under resource constraints.
  • Experience using non-standard build environments and compiler toolchains, especially for embedded systems.
  • Experience using industry standard development and debugging tools for embedded development.
  • Strong attention to detail, good work ethic, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and good communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to develop solutions and ideas when faced with problems or issues.
