Overview
UnityPoint Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young patients.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate programs for assigned groups of children.
• Foster positive relationships with children, engaging in play and encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Attend to the personal and physical needs of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers to maintain accurate records and create a visually appealing learning environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate certificate (CDA) or equivalent college coursework preferred.
• Previous experience in early childhood education or a related field is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass mandatory training requirements, including Child Abuse Reporting, CPR/first aid, and universal precautions.
