About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Spiritual Care Professional to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide spiritual support and care to patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual support and guidance to patients and families in times of need.
  • Conduct spiritual care visits and effectively document spiritual care interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement spiritual care plans.
  • Network with community faith leaders to provide comprehensive spiritual care services.
  • Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of spiritual support plans for patients and families.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or above in a relevant field.
  • Three Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units required, four preferred.
  • Ordained, licensed, or commissioned to function in a religious vocation by an appropriate religious authority.
  • Meets one of the following criteria: minimum of three units of CPE, board certification by Association of Professional Chaplains, or clinical experience as a chaplain in a medical or healthcare setting for a minimum of three consecutive years.

Compensation and Benefits

The Good Samaritan Society offers a competitive salary range of $24 - $37 per hour, depending on location and experience.
