Housekeeping Aide Role:

As a Housekeeping Aide at Cleveland Clinic, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Your duties will include:

Cleaning Duties:

  • Performing cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to a set schedule
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, dry mopping, wet mopping, and disinfecting
  • Stripping and waxing floors and operating a high-speed floor buffer
  • Dusting, damp wiping, spot cleaning, washing, disinfecting, and polishing all surfaces and equipment

Waste Management:

  • Removing all waste and trash and disposing of it properly
  • Removing soiled linens and placing them in designated areas for pickup

Terminal Cleaning:

  • Carrying out terminal cleaning procedures when a patient is discharged
  • Preparing rooms for new occupants

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Changing cubicle curtains
  • Cleaning the linen supply room and assisting with other cleaning duties in the laundry
  • Sorting clean linens and stocking carts for linen distribution

Requirements:

This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
