We are seeking a highly skilled PCU RN to join our team of travel nursing professionals at Travel Nurse Across America. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be proficient in caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment.

About the Job

This is a 13-week assignment with a guaranteed $90,000/year salary, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week. The shift will be days only with opportunities to work up to 36 hours/week. We offer a competitive tax-free stipend to support your financial needs during your assignment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Care for Patients: Provide basic bedside care, stabilize critical cardiac patients, change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Meds and Equipment: Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting electronic displays and initiating corrective action when necessary.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will need to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional heavy lifting required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Above-average skills: Coping with stress and relating to people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
  • Experience: At least 1.5 years of recent acute care experience.
