Big Woods Restaurants, a leading hospitality brand in Indiana, is seeking an experienced Food Service Ambassador to join our team at BWQOHT Inc. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional service and contribute to the success of our restaurant.
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual who can deliver outstanding dining experiences to our guests. As a Food Service Ambassador, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring prompt and efficient service, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and ensure they feel comfortable and valued throughout their visit.
- Present menus and answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, noting any dietary restrictions or special requests.
- Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and menu choices.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and garnishing of dishes.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs.
- Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining environment throughout the guest's visit.
- Process payments, handle cash transactions, and accurately enter orders into the POS system.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient communication and smooth service flow.
- Upsell menu items, special promotions, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and contribute to revenue goals.
- Assist in setting up and closing duties, including preparing the dining area for service, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of equipment.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- ServSafe or similar food safety certification is desirable but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
- Bend, reach, and twist to perform cleaning and setup tasks.
- Must be 19+ years of age.
- Must have or be able to obtain an Indiana Liquor License.
Estimated Salary: $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
