As an Automation Specialist at Berry Global, you will play a key role in supporting the design, programming, and installation of automation projects. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with building and programming new and rebuilt equipment
  • Follow mechanical and electrical prints
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Responsible for adherence to all company, industry, and regulatory procedures
  • Responsible for participating in post-project review
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environment, and Department of Health requirements

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in automation, manufacturing, or proven hands-on control experience
  • Proven experience in PLC logic and programming and development of HMIs
  • Knowledge of setup and communications of AC drives preferred
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
