Job Description

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineering Manager to lead our Systems Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in designing and testing complex systems. They will be responsible for coordinating and leading teams of technical personnel, and will have a deep understanding of our company's culture and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Systems Engineering team.
  • Develop and implement systems engineering processes and procedures.
  • Lead and direct the work of direct report(s) to accomplish near-term operational plans and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Perform systems engineering duties for multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Direct experience with SSP SPALT, PAD, Coordination Drawing, and Ordnance Document process.
  • Direct experience working on SSBN Interfaces, Fire Control, and Shipboard Data System.
  • Knowledge of SSP Formula 1 (SF1) and SWS Alignment Knowledge of SSP Systems Engineering processes and procedures.
  • Evaluation of design changes to assess impact to interfaces.
  • Support digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Contribute to and present during customer gate reviews.
  • Contribute to proposal activities.
  • Must have the ability to travel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with SSP.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Must have Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
