We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to join our team at The Computer Merchant, LTD. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-performance database management software using Oracle and SQL Server technologies.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale database systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

This position involves providing technical support for Oracle and SQL Server databases, including upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as managing high-availability solutions, automation tools, and collaboration platforms.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining advanced security features, such as Oracle TDE and Key Vault, developing automation scripts using Ansible playbooks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems align with project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for Oracle and SQL Server databases, including upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage high-availability solutions, automation tools, and collaboration platforms.
  • Implement and maintain advanced security features, such as Oracle TDE and Key Vault.
  • Develop automation scripts using Ansible playbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems align with project requirements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Proficiency in Oracle 19c or above and SQL Server 2012 or above.
  • Experience with high-availability solutions, automation tools, and collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with Ansible and other automation tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
