Job Summary

Solventum is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as an EHS Manager. This role will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the development and implementation of EHS programs and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company expectations.
  • Provide EHS leadership and direction to site management and employees, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Manage risk and protect the company's employees, assets, and intellectual property.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations, and conformance to all 3M EHS expectations.
  • Support and communicate with site management, who have accountability for site EHS performance.
  • Elevate site EHS culture through an expansion of standard work, employee engagement, mentoring and coaching, assuring effective and efficient resources (people and capital) and a pervasive full compliance mindset.
  • Manage to site performance targets, coaching and leading salaried and hourly employees.
  • Interact with internal auditors and regulatory agencies and serve as liaison between Solventum and governmental agencies to obtain the necessary permits related to health/safety/environment for the plant operation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Health, Safety, Engineering, Science or related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Seven (7) years of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience in a manufacturing/production environment, in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Master's degree or higher in Environmental Health, Safety, Engineering, Science or related discipline from an accredited institution, Proven track record of managing an EHS organization to achieve operational objectives on risk reduction, compliance, and EHS program implementation, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB)/Quality Improvement certification, Strong communication and change management skills, Applicable EHS certification(s).
