As a Registered Nurse at Rocky Hill Pediatrics, part of Optum's family of businesses, you'll play a vital role in sustaining the health and well-being of our community.
We're looking for an experienced nursing professional to join our team, supporting patients by providing exceptional care, education, and support. This dynamic role involves working collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless patient interactions.
About the Role:- Provide comprehensive patient care, including vaccinations, screenings, and medication administration.
- Triage patients according to established protocols, adhering to appointment and scheduling guidelines.
- Collaborate with the care team to prepare patients for appointments, collecting and recording essential clinical information.
- Educate patients on their condition, promoting self-management and empowering them to take control of their health.
- Execute standing orders, including prescription refills and test ordering, aligned with practice policies and procedures.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and efficiently in our electronic health record (EHR).
- Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or additional services, communicate test results, and follow up after appointments to ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Answer and document patient phone calls, routing messages to providers as needed via the EHR.
- Maintain task buckets, responding promptly to tasks, following up on overdue orders/worklists, and monitoring critical referrals.
- In coordination with Regional Nurse Managers, complete annual CLIA competencies.
- Serve as a resource to other clinical staff members, precept new team members, and maintain open lines of communication with the care team and Regional Management team.
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in CT.
- 1+ years of nursing experience.
- Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The estimated salary range for this role is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
