We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Office Professional - Secretary in our team. This position requires excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in using educational technology programs.
About the JobThe successful candidate will provide full clerical assistance to an Olympia School District site or program, including providing oversight and direction to lower-range office professionals. The role involves working with various stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide high-level office tasks such as directing work, compiling data, creating reports, etc.
- Ability to perform complex routine tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to complete work independently
- Resolve emergent issues and adapt to changes in work priorities
- Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned
- Assist other office personnel to support them in completing their work
- Interact with the public and other employees on a continual basis
- Follow established routines and meet inflexible deadlines
- Prior comparable job-related experiences (3 years preferred)
- High degree of comfort with educational technology programs and systems
- Ability to use English in both written and verbal form, with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Must be able to work independently, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions
- Signedificant physical abilities include reaching, bending, speaking, listening, reading
The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance benefits, as administered by the School Employees Benefit Board (SEBB). Additionally, employees are eligible to enroll in the Department of Retirement Services (DRS) SERS plan (classified employees) or TERS plan (certificated employees), as well as the DRS Deferred Compensation Program.
