Department/Unit Summary:

The medical surgical unit is a 12-hour shift, 18-bed general medical surgical floor that takes a variety of patients across the life span. We have a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and utilize CNA's and unit secretaries to share the workload.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A current state RN license and a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
