Mammography Technologist Job Summary

At CARTI, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mammography studies by positioning breasts, adjusting compression mechanisms, and instructing patients to hold their breath.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by reducing anxieties, providing explanations, and answering questions.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
  • Maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures.
  • Ensure operation of mammography equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Document patient mammogram services by completing patient record charting.
  • Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and maintain personal networks to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in mammography.


Requirements:
  • State Registered - RTL (AR Department of Health)
  • ARRT (RT) (Mammography)
  • BLS certification
  • 2 years mammography experience preferred


This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain a safe work environment.
