Clinical Patient Safety Specialist

The Clinical Patient Safety Attendant Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the onboarding process for new staff members at the University of Vermont Medical Center. This includes scheduling time and spaces for onboarding, tracking training and certifications, and providing training on the basic components of the Clinical Patient Safety Attendant position. The Lead may also interact with Unit Leaders to provide feedback on the progress of Unit Specific CPSA's. While primarily an administrative role, the Clinical Patient Safety Attendant Lead may occasionally perform functions similar to those of a Clinical Patient Safety Attendant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Upholding a professional and compassionate demeanor in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues
* Providing individualized, evidence-based interventions to address specific safety needs
* Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote a safe and caring environment
* Utilizing effective, equitable, and patient-centered communication
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of AS degree in healthcare, mental health, or human services preferred
* Previous healthcare experience and Pro-ACT crisis intervention and MOAB training preferred
