Job Summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to our patients, from neonates to adolescents, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' clinical status and develop plans of care to ensure optimal respiratory outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the care team to provide comprehensive respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document interventions and patient responses in the electronic medical record to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation period.
