Job Title: CDL Class A Delivery Driver

At Performance Foodservice, we are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to questions.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
Requirements:
  • 12 months commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent.
  • Valid CDL A.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years foodservice or beverage route delivery experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD).
  • Customer service-related work experience.
