Internship Overview
As an intern at RSM, you will collaborate with a diverse range of companies across various sectors. You will cultivate strong working relationships with clients by gaining insights into their operations and challenges. Interns participate in multiple team engagements throughout the year, contributing to various aspects of each assignment, rather than focusing on a single component. Key Responsibilities
Interns will be tasked with:

  • Comprehending clients' requirements and expectations, along with their business and industry dynamics, accounting practices, internal controls, corporate values, and relevant GAAP and GAAS standards.
  • Gaining familiarity with the RSM audit methodology and tools.
  • Identifying risks and assessing the client's internal control framework.
  • Conducting substantive tests and internal control evaluations to detect and address accounting or reporting discrepancies.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with established formats.

Qualifications
To be considered for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 90 credit hours completed.
  • Pursuing a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Major in Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.

Compensation Range
The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $29 to $35, reflecting various factors considered in the hiring process, including education, skills, work experience, and location.
