Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team at Save the Children. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks to children and families in accordance with established menus and food safety guidelines.
  • Order and manage food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are on hand.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food service.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective food service programs that meet the nutritional needs of children and families.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training or experience preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in food service or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
