Your Role:

As a Freight Logistics Professional, you will be responsible for performing freight services according to company and government regulations. You will create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules, coordinating with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers. Your role will involve monitoring all routes and scheduling backhauls to maximize cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform freight services according to company and government regulations.
  • Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor all routes and schedule backhauls to utilize maximum cost efficiency.
  • Track and report shipment status of loads.
  • Vet carriers to securely broker freight.
  • Coordinate logistics for projects coming from multiple customer sites and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a freight and transportation logistics and operations-oriented position.
  • Experience with using TMS systems such as Mercury Gate or DAT.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
