Boston, Massachusetts, United States Tufts Medical Center Full time

This role is a key part of our organization, providing vital support to achieve operational goals. You will produce documents, collect and record information, handle mail, prepare routine reports, make travel arrangements, arrange appointments, respond to inquiries, perform data entry, and operate office equipment.

The majority of your time will be spent delivering support services or activities, typically under supervision. This is an entry-level role that requires little to no prior knowledge or experience, with work being routine or following standard procedures, closely supervised, and communicating information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

You will correlate outpatient physicians' orders with CT exams to ensure insurance coverage and reduce denials. Additionally, you will provide front-line customer service by coordinating front desk staff and functions, including visitor reception and patient registration, service recovery, answering calls at the main telephone console, and patient appointment scheduling.

As a customer service ambassador, you will be the first point of contact for patients or visitors, either in person or by phone. Your tasks will include entering orders, scanning paperwork, escorting patients to and from exam rooms as needed, filling supplies, IV contrast, etc. You will apply knowledge and safety principles to ensure patient and staff safety, making basic observations and reporting them to staff.

You will require manual dexterity to operate radiology equipment, with sufficient hearing and visual acuity to perform examinations, observe patients, read monitors and documents, and hear audible equipment alarms. Knowledge of medical terminology and Computed Tomography areas, as well as clerical skills, are necessary for this role.

Tufts Medical Center is a leading integrated health system bringing together academic and community healthcare to deliver exceptional, connected, and accessible care experiences. We value diversity and inclusion, and we do not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
