Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and management, working collaboratively with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, caring for adults with serious neurological illnesses. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide on-going patient care and management
  • Participate in rounds, develop care plans, and conduct daily assessments
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in educational programs
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program (for NPs) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program (for PAs)
  • Active licensure and certification as a NP or PA in state(s) of practice
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
