Job DescriptionThis role oversees the development and bulk production of product from initial design through final delivery. The Assistant / Associate Sourcing Specialist works closely with Graphic Design, Tech Design, Merchandising, Apparel Design, Legal, and Merchandise Planning to manage product strategy and hit business goals.
- Maintaining and developing vendor relationships to ensure key partnerships for future growth.
- Working with Sourcing leadership & Legal to create product that is compliant with our contracts with licensors.
- Providing direct communication and support to vendors daily.
- Working closely with production managers to monitor schedule and delivery.
- Evaluating weekly Work in Progress (WIP) report to troubleshoot production issues and assist merchant team in identifying issues.
- Maintaining production on order tools.
- Working with Production Coordinator to execute systems work for purchase order creation, costing, and maintenance.
- Following up on all submits and samples and communicating comments to overseas offices/agents.
- Managing raw material submits and testing and art approvals
- Collaborating on fabric development to identify sourcing strategy and needs.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Production/Sourcing
- Previous experience/exposure to international factories/vendors required
- Excellent communication, presentation, and multi-tasking skills
- A strong desire for adventure & curiosity with a desire to learn and grow
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, structured environment
- A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand
