Job Description

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Quality Associate to join our team. As a Quality Associate, you will be responsible for performing routine samples preparation, wet chemistry, and sample maintenance as described in the analytical manual.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of in-process and finished products.
  • Set up, coordinate, and perform daily pH, moisture, weight checks, samples weights, wet titrations, particle size testing, and density testing as needed.
  • Maintain inspection and testing records for in-process materials and finished products.
  • Prepare composite samples for laboratory testing and third-party analysis.
  • Perform finished product FTIR testing for control chart preparation.
  • Prepare solvents, mobile phase, and samples according to Standard test procedure.
  • Review, monitor, and track results from third-party labs.
  • Ensure samples are taken and controlled from the production floor to the lab.
  • Maintain lab records as required by the Quality System.
  • Maintain analytical standards and conduct calibration of lab equipment as necessary.
  • Organize and support in-stability testing on finished products as needed.
  • Enter product specifications and results in the LIMS system.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, food defense, and food quality standards (FDA, ILDPH, FSMA, NSF, and BRC).
  • Conduct investigations and document findings as necessary.
  • Maintain 5S cleanliness in the QC Lab.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent in a scientific discipline with chemistry/laboratory-related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
