Job Description

We seek a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech-language mentorship services to students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities. This role involves a multidisciplinary approach, working with a team to ensure high-quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a school-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening: Complete screening requests to determine students' need for evaluation.
  • Evaluation: Conduct standardized assessments of students to determine eligibility due to speech and language deficits.
  • Treatment: Write evidence-based speech and language therapy plans for students with speech-related needs.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation in accordance with deadlines.
  • Communication: Maintain communication with students' families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needs.
  • Collaboration: Work with the multidisciplinary team to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on client needs.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology or Communication Disorders.
  • One year of progressive experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Pennsylvania Instructional 1 Teaching Certificate or PA Educational Specialist Certification.
  • PA State Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.

Clearances and Training Required:

  • Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
  • Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance.
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Department of Education.
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.
  • Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children.
  • State License of Practice and/or Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid.
  • TB/Physical.
