Perioperative Nurse Leader

Job Summary:
The Operating Room Charge Nurse will oversee the daily operations of the perioperative department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth departmental operations
- Lead and motivate a team of nurses and support staff to achieve departmental goals
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Completion of yearly supplemental competence validation
- Preceptor class
- Management class
- 10 CEU's in perioperative nursing, 5 CEU in leadership/management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
- CNOR certification
- Able to scrub on all surgeries
- Three years experience as a perioperative nurse, one as a charge nurse
