Job Description

As an Onsite Haitian Creole Interpreter Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality interpretation services that enable people to understand each other effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consecutive interpretation services in person and remotely via phone or video conferencing.
  • Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by our clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, customers, healthcare providers, and clinical employees.
  • Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge to meet client needs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Seasonal Influenza, and Covid).
  • Successful completion of a drug test and background check.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of interpreting experience.
Evaluation Process:

Our evaluation process is based on industry standards defined by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC), International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA), and California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA).

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range for this position, estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we provide benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
