As an aerospace medical officer, you will be at the forefront of the U.S. Air Force's aerospace medicine program.

The role involves ensuring the health and effectiveness of aircrew members and those who directly support flight operations and their families.

You will attend the eight-week Aerospace Medicine Primary Course at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), where you will receive comprehensive training in aerospace medicine.

Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to fly with aircrew members and provide medical support during flight operations.

To be eligible for this role, you must be physically fit and meet specific qualifications unique to the career field.

A typical day in this role may involve flying with aircrew members, conducting medical assessments, and providing guidance on fitness and well-being.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication, you will work closely with other medical professionals and aircrew members to ensure the success of flight operations.

The salary range for this role is estimated to be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
