Job Description

As a Water Systems Engineer with Tetra Tech's Denver office, you will play a key role in designing and coordinating water and wastewater projects for the Denver Water/Wastewater group. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the design engineering of municipal water and wastewater projects
  • Collecting and entering data using Microsoft and other database applications for technical evaluation
  • Interpreting data, conducting analyses, and comparing findings to relevant studies and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Assisting with report production, quality control, and file management activities

You will work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and have the opportunity to conduct research for ongoing projects, including reviewing regulations and permits, work plans, and other documents. Additionally, you will work with CAD designers to mark up project drawings and ensure quality assurance compliance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering; an M.S. is preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the municipal engineering sector
  • Licensed EIT or ability and interest to obtain EIT and/or be in active pursuit of registration
  • Highly motivated and a high-performance team member
  • Knowledge of data collection and tabulation in preparation of scientific documents
  • Strong technical writing skills

Salary and Location

This position is located in Denver, CO, and the estimated salary range is $72,000-$83,000 per year, depending on experience. This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more.
