Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Centralized Sterile Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and adhering to strict quality control standards.

This is a full-time evening shift position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict quality control standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in central processing or materials management
  • Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
