Ultrasound Technician PRN Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at CJW Medical Center. As an Ultrasound Technician PRN, you will be responsible for obtaining quality ultrasound images of patients and demonstrating competence in following established scanning protocols.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Obtains quality ultrasound images of patients.
- Demonstrates competence in following established scanning protocols.
- Manages all ultrasound equipment and recognizes significant diagnostic information.
- Utilizes independent judgment and decision making in complex situations involving the administration of diagnostic ultrasound.
- Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepares examination rooms for ultrasound procedures.
- Monitors inventory of supplies and maintains room cleanliness and neat appearance.
- Assists the radiology nurse or the radiologist in administering medications, performing biopsies and all types of care to the patient.
- Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and completes verification process in PACS.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits package. The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
