Infection Prevention Specialist

As an Infection Prevention Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will play a critical role in preventing and controlling infections and the spread of infectious diseases in patients, employees, physicians, and visitors. This position requires a strong understanding of infection prevention and control principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct facility-wide surveillance activities to identify and prevent the spread of infections
Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
Collaborate with healthcare workers to educate them on infection prevention and control practices
Investigate and respond to outbreaks of infectious diseases
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Microbiology
RN license, Medical Technologist certification, or other applicable clinical certifications
Three years of experience working as an RN, Epidemiologist, or as a Microbiologist in a lab plating and reading organisms
Experience with basic computer programs and statistical analysis
Excellent communication and leadership skills
