Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Job Description:

This role involves working with an integrated team to deliver state agency and municipal roadway, traffic, drainage, and safety designs. Key responsibilities include preparing calculations, layouts, estimates, and specifications under senior engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to multi-discipline teams solving technical challenges on projects of significant scope and difficulty
  • Complete assignments accurately and on time with minimal supervision
  • Develop an understanding of project budget, scope, development, and schedule, providing updates and recommendations to the project manager
  • Understand client expectations and share best practices to improve performance and efficiency
  • Develop person-hour estimates and budgets with guidance from senior staff
  • Lead small teams for moderately complex projects
  • Assist in proposal efforts and development
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to develop entry-level and staff engineers
  • Conduct site visits and participate in or lead meetings with clients/contractors
  • Demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills for deliverables, proposals, and presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required, Master's degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Current PE license in NH, MA, ME, or VT
  • Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans, or MassDOT highway projects
  • Proficient in Microstation, AutoCAD, HydroCAD, Civil 3D, ArcView, In Roads, WORD, Excel, and MS Project
