Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Research Chemist to join our team at Phlow Corp. The successful candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry and process chemistry, with experience in multi-step chemical syntheses and product isolation/purification operations. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing process chemistry support to our Continuous Manufacturing R&D lab to ensure timely and budget-friendly deliverables to customer projects.
  • Independently designing, synthesizing, purifying, and analyzing chemical intermediates, target compounds, and impurities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of experiments and observations, and authoring progress reports and presenting scientific results to team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Process chemistry and API manufacturing experience on a multi-kilogram scale.
  • Knowledge of ICH and cGMP requirements.
  • Experience working in a contract organization (CROs/CMOs/CDMOs) is a plus.
