Job Summary

This is a PRN opportunity, meaning that is intended to hire someone on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides therapy to patients based on patient need and medical direction.
  • Provides patient/caregiver education and arranges for adaptive equipment as needed.
  • Performs evaluation procedures to assess the level of disability with regard to scope of practice, goals and a plan of treatment, and to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Documents evaluation and treatment of each patient in compliance with department standards, medical-legal and reimbursement procedures.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement, patient satisfaction initiatives/improvement, program development and marketing activities.
Requirements
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree Graduate of accredited speech therapy program.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree Graduate of accredited speech therapy program.
  • Preferred: Doctorate Graduate of accredited speech therapy program.
  • 2 years of relevant experience of related experience required.
  • CRT-Speech Language Pathologist - ASHA within 1 year required.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA/ARC within 90 days required.

This role is located at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA, 905 N Front St, Niles.
