Job Description and Duties

The Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Services Manager I to join our team in the Administrative Services Bureau. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and files, both physical and electronic.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective office operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions:

This position is located at POST headquarters in West Sacramento, CA. The office is located in a two-story building with a business park setting. Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.
