Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager for Provider Grievances and Appeals to join our team at Elevance Health. This role will be responsible for managing Provider Grievances, Provider Appeals, and Provider State Fair Hearings for the Kansas Health Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential issues, project changes, and scope to ensure effective management of grievances and appeals.
  • Lead efforts to identify best practices and implement process improvements to enhance the grievance and appeals process.
  • Develop and design processes and systems that support business needs, including the development of policies and procedures.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analyses to inform decision-making and ensure the most effective use of resources.
  • Build support for business change throughout the business unit, including communicating with stakeholders and managing change initiatives.
Requirements
  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of process improvement, business change, or project-related experience.
  • Experience in successfully developing and managing projects with significant operating budgets and knowledge of process redesign is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Member Grievances, Appeals, administrative hearings, or other legal processes is also strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills and Capabilities
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
  • Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal or comparable education or employment experience is strongly preferred.
