Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team at WEIS LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our produce department is well-stocked and appealing to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns in a polite and professional manner.
  • Produce Department Management: Keep the produce department well-stocked, clean, and organized, ensuring that merchandise is in saleable condition.
  • Merchandise Handling: Unpack cartons and crates, clean and trim produce, and stock the area with new merchandise.
  • Salad Bar and Cut Fruit/Vegetable Management: Maintain the salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable as needed.
  • Display Management: Assist in building attractive displays and ensuring that product has been properly priced with correct signage.
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Follow cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well-maintained, clean, and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately complete necessary product logs and handle spoiled and damaged product, new items, and discontinued items accordingly to company policy.
  • Teamwork: Cooperate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth function of the department and store.
Requirements:
  • Education: Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience: No prior experience required.
