About this role: As a clinical dietitian at Geisinger, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care to patients in an outpatient setting. This is a per diem opportunity that offers flexibility and variety in your work schedule.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized plans to meet those needs
- Work closely with the healthcare team to set patient care goals and document initial assessment plans for nutritional care
- Evaluate patients' nutritional status and make recommendations for optimal care
- Counsel patients, families, and caregivers on healthy eating habits and therapeutic diets
Requirements:
- Degree in Nutrition or related field and current certification as a registered dietitian (RD) or registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
