Dartmouth Health is Vermont's first ANCC-Accredited RN New Graduate Residency Program at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Our program provides support, mentorship, continuing education, and guidance to new nurses transitioning into the changing world of healthcare.

Estimated Salary

We offer competitive salaries, with an estimated annual salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 for this Registered Nurse position, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, benefits include tuition loan forgiveness of up to $30,000.00, sign-on retention bonus, night and weekend shift differentials, benefits, 403B retirement plan, relocation assistance, referral program, ADN to BSN free, and continuing education opportunities.

Job Description

This 12-month residency program supports new nurses in their transition to the clinical environment. You will work alongside experienced nursing professionals in our ER, Medical Surgical, and Women's and Children's departments. Our program emphasizes hands-on learning, skills development, and leadership growth, preparing you for success in your nursing career.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Able to obtain a valid Vermont State Registered Nursing License by date of employment
  • Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Prior nursing experience preferred (but not required)
