Program Financial Analyst

At Smiths Detection, we are seeking a skilled Program Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Program Financial Analyst, you will provide life-cycle accounting, analytical support, and finance partnering expertise to Program Managers from pricing proposals through financial reporting of those Programs. You will partner with the Program Managers to manage the WBS structure and ensure that actual costs are maintained in SAP and all relevant costs are budgeted and accounted for on a timely basis. Forecasting will include sales (revenue recognition), inventory, gross margin, and cash. This role will work closely with staff from various Smiths sites along with financial staff at our Headquarters located in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Provide ongoing analytical financial support to the Program Manager to facilitate the preparation of financials, to support detailed program reviews, and identify key areas of risk and/or opportunity.
  • Program Financial Management: Ensure the program financials are appropriately accounted for.

Requirements
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas and functions).

Education/Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Experience
  • 2-4 Years of finance or related corporate experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous SAP experience an asset.
  • Process improvement experience strongly preferred.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience a plus.

Background
This position requires Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA. Applicant must successfully pass a federal background investigation. This position requires a U.S. Personal Security Clearance.

Salary & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $47,983.80 - $111,962.20/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
