Maintenance Director - Extrusion Facility Lead

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our extrusion facility maintenance team. As a key member of our operations leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and productivity of our equipment and processes.

Job Summary
  • Lead the maintenance team in planning, implementing, and following up on production maintenance activities
  • Develop and manage maintenance plans, scheduled shutdowns, and major repairs
  • Ensure equipment meets safety requirements and drive safe working practices
  • Hire, direct, and train maintenance employees while evaluating performance
Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Planning: Plan, implement, and follow-up on all production maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
  2. Safety Leadership: Drive a culture of safety within the maintenance team, ensuring all equipment meets safety requirements and adhering to industry standards
  3. Project Management: Develop and manage maintenance plans, scheduled shutdowns, and major repairs to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to production
  4. Team Development: Hire, direct, and train maintenance employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  5. Troubleshooting: Assist with mechanical and electrical issues across the facility, using advanced troubleshooting techniques to quickly identify and resolve problems
Qualifications
  • 5 years continuous blow molding extrusion production experience (container products etc)
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly advanced Excel for data analysis
  • Extensive experience with PLCs and equipment controls
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles
  • Proven ability in TPM, SMED, 5S and OEE metrics
  • Experience developing preventative/predictive maintenance programs
  • Lean Six Sigma methodology with TPM focus is a plus
  • Strong root cause analysis capabilities
Compensation & Benefits
  • Estimated Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 per year based on experience
  • Performance Bonus: Significant annual performance-based bonus
