Job Title: Aquatic Educator

Blue Gems Swim School is a premier boutique family-owned swimming school in the Chicagoland area, specializing in infant, children, and adult learn-to-swim lessons as well as progressive aquatic development programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons, communicate facility rules, and ensure emergency services are contacted when necessary.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment until the arrival of medical services.
  • Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Deliver swim instruction based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as needed and perform various maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe facility.

Requirements:

  • No prior experience necessary - training and certification provided in-house/off-site.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on feet for longer periods.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
  • Successful completion of Swim Instructor training required during initial on-boarding training.
