Cath Lab Technologist II Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist II to join our team at St. Joseph Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing duties related to circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring invasive cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit and share knowledge of policies and procedures, acting as a mentor and preceptor to new technologists.
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral, neuro, and EP procedures, as well as electrophysiological studies.
  • Operate physiological monitoring systems, accurately entering and recording patient data, and documenting events.
  • Measure and document pressure recordings, maintaining accurate logs of events, including medications, hemodynamics, supplies, and procedures performed.
  • Assist physicians in acute MI and stroke procedures on unstable patients, demonstrating knowledge of various stents, their accurate preparation, and deployment.
  • Insert mechanical circulatory support devices in critically ill patients, and operate intravascular ultrasound systems.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a related field.
  • CVT or RT certification, or the combination of ACLS plus demonstrated proficiency in scrubbing CCL procedures.
  • Ability to take call and return to the hospital within 30 minutes.
