Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team at DaVita. As a PCT, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and supporting our clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in the healthcare industry and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Measure and record patient statistics, including vital signs and laboratory results
- Assist with hemodialysis machine setup and maintenance
- Build long-term relationships with patients and educate them on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, and social workers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to enter the healthcare field and care for others
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working around blood and needles
- Ability to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed
