Location: Shriners Children's Hawaii

Located in Honolulu, our hospital offers specialized pediatric care in scoliosis and spine conditions, orthopedics, orthotics, and prosthetics. We partner with satellite clinics throughout the state and the Pacific Basin to ensure high-quality care.

Job Overview

We seek a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Shriners Children's Hawaii. After training, this clinician will evaluate and treat pediatric orthopedic patients independently in both perioperative and clinic settings.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, treat, and educate patients presenting with musculoskeletal disorders under the supervision of a physician.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with the care team for comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient notes, including history, physical examination data, daily notes, discharge summaries, impressions, and plan of care.
  • Assist in the operating room.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or higher required.
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification as a PNP or FNP required.
  • Active RN license in Hawaii required.
  • Valid APRN license with prescriptive authority in Hawaii required.
  • Active DEA license required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required; PALS certification must be completed within one year of hire.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatrics and/or orthopedics highly preferred.

Compensation

Hourly compensation ranges from $46.98 to $80.54, depending on education and experience.
