Salary

The estimated hourly wage range for this position in Greenwood, IN is between $18.00 and $25.00 per hour. U.S.-based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits.

Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibilities will include determining donor eligibility, managing informed consent, conducting medical history interviews, and performing physical examinations. You will also be responsible for evaluating donor reactions, referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary, and supporting the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.

You will work closely with the Plasma Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to customer service will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, including graduate-level education in a recognized nursing program
  • CURRENT EMT-Paramedic licensure in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy
  • Satisfactory completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
